About

I head up a consulting company, ME Consulting, that works with start-ups and entrepreneurs looking to jump-start their digital marketing efforts. At the core, I’m experienced expert story tellers who develop digital strategies and deliver tactical execution.

I work with startups and entrepreneurs ready to take the next step with their digital marketing. You may not need a full-time marketing person yet but you’re definitely ready to jump-start your marketing efforts to drive user growth, traffic and sales. We fill this gap on a project or contract basis to deliver what you need now.

I work on a project or contract basis. What I bring to table is experience, enthusiasm and an extensive network of trusted suppliers who can meet most of your needs.

My services include:

- Digital marketing strategies that reflect your needs and resources to create cost-effective and action-oriented plans

Core messaging and branding to articulate your value propositions and competitive edge to build a strong marketing and sales foundation

- Content planning and creation for Web sites, blogs, social media, videos, case studies, media/blogger pitches and other marketing collateral

- Social media strategy, tactics and training that support your sales and marketing activities, and complement your overall strategic and tactical plans

My experience includes more than 10 years as an award-winning technology journalist with the National Post, Globe & Mail and Bloomberg News.

I write several other blogs, including Sysomos’ corporate blog and an online column for the Globe & Mail about startups and entrepreneurs. I’m also one of the organizers of Canada’s leading digital conference, mesh, as well as meshmarketing.

    Mark,

I recently saw that your firm was listed in IT World’s Top 10 Technology Bloggers in Canada. Congratulations!

Among the other Top 10 bloggers named was Kate Trgovic. Her blogs include “My Name is Kate” and “One Degree”.

She currently receives our (ThinData) media announcements (and has recently authored a post about ThinData being acquired by Transcontinental).

Since Kate welcomes our announcements, I wanted to know if you would like to receive them as well.

P.S. I have just signed up to receive your blog and look forward to getting more familiar with your postings.
