		<description>I have tried all three of the major commenting system and was a big proponent of Disqus for the longest time. In the end though I have returned to using the default WP comment system with added functionality provided by plugins.

IIRC with Echo it is just a matter of turning off the plugin - your original comments made while it was installed should still be there. </description>
