I am a huge fan of the NFL and am completely fine with their latest rules regarding Twitter.

2 issues.

1. The NFL doesn't let anyone provide play by play account of their games other than those broadcasters that pay the league. Fans can blog, tweet, email, etc. all they want about the game but can't offer up the game play by play. I don't see any problem with that. I don't see how this can limit fans enjoyment of the game.

2. I am very, very pleased that players/those associated with the NFL are banned from using social media for an hour before the game until an hour after the game (or whatever the exact time restrictions are). Players should be playing, coaches should be coaching, etc. This is a business and players, etc. are employees and should do their job during business hours, NOT talking on cell phones, tweeting, updating their blog or facebook page.

I don't think any of the new rules will make the NFL experience any less enjoyable and will (hopefully) ensure the integrity of the games.

Only four days until kickoff - Go Giants!!
