Review: TweetCapz – Adding Fun to Photos

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been offered the opportunity to try out a variety of online services and devices, expect a few reviews. Today, I’m taking a look at TweetCapz, an iPhone application that lets you add captions, speech bubbles and emoticons to photos that you can share on Twitter, Facebook or via e-mail.

TweetCapz, created by Toronto-based Endloop Systems, falls into the fun/entertainment category. For anyone looking to give their photos a little pizzazz, TweetCapz is an easy way to do it.

After installation the application (it costs $1.99 but there’s a special launch price of 99 cents), TweetCapz gives you two options: you can take a new photo or use an existing photo on your iPhone.

After adding a caption, bubble or emoticon, you select how you want to share the photo, and send it on its way. Below, you’ll see a photo that I recently took, and shared through Twitter.

TweetCapz is quick, easy to use and entertaining. For 99 cents, it’s a pretty good investment.

    Thanks for the review Mark!

I just wanted to you and your readers know that we're almost done version 1.1 and it will be adding a ton of new features:

    1) We've implemented an option to remove the "Made with TweetCapz" watermark on the Settings page. It is now optional for those that want to help support our app.
    2) All Captions, labels, LOLText, icons and graphics will now be resizable and rotatable using our new whiz-bang Microsoft Surface-like multi-touch controls. Resize and rotate everything to your liking!
    3) Photos can also be resized and cropped using the same multi-touch interface.

We are also building a community site at http://www.tweetcapz.com to capture all the publicly tweeted TweetCapz images for people to browse and vote on.

    Thanks again!
