even i have my concerns for the same. It is good for google & bad for all small companies, when they will find one fine morning they have been invaded and every thing is lost. a serious new innovations are required to get marketshare back from this growing godzilla

True, Google does continue to expand their coverage, but they are being keen to retreat from areas that they haven’t done well in.

Take Lively for example. Launched to much fanfare back in the summer, it’s already been canned. There are other examples as well, and Google is likely to strategically tighten the belt as this economy deteriorates.

So, unlike the Roman Empire, they know how to fallback and “cut their losses” before it costs them everything.
