		<description>True, Google does continue to expand their coverage, but they are being keen to retreat from areas that they haven&#039;t done well in.  

Take Lively for example.  Launched to much fanfare back in the summer, it&#039;s already been canned.  There are other examples as well, and Google is likely to strategically tighten the belt as this economy deteriorates.

So, unlike the Roman Empire, they know how to fallback and &quot;cut their losses&quot; before it costs them everything.</description>
