Stupid Shirt Tricks
By Mark Evans | November 15, 2008
A few years ago, Stowe Boyd gained some notoriety - and enough money to buy a 30″ Apple monitor - by wearing a logo-ed T-shirt for $15/day.
It was a unique gimmick. That said, two new entries in the pay-me-to-wear-your-corporate-tshirt - iwearyourshirt and Girl in Your Shirt - are just dumb and unoriginal.
There, I said it, and feel much better.

I agree these are stupid marketing tactics. But as they say, “money talks”, so if someone’s willing to wear ridiculous shirts for money, someone must be willing to pay. And, who would pay unless they thought they would gain some benefit from it? It’s really no different than the “Golden Palace” body tattoos we’ve been seeing for years.
It’s unfortunate because these marketing efforts insult the intelligence of the audience they cater to.
