Twitter’s Killer App
October 2nd, 2008 Posted in Web 2.0

I just bookmarked (aka Instapaper-ed) a really interesting New Yorker article about the U.S. presidential election that someone posted on Twitter.
If I hadn’t seen it on Twitter, I never would have heard about it, let alone read it.
Being able to access this kind of information is, by far, the biggest reason I like Twitter.
Getting access to interesting stories, trends, blog posts and ideas is Twitter’s killer app.
People who provide these 140-character gems on a regular basis are worth following.

Mark, You are SO right about the value of Twitter. I followed your link on Twitter to this article. And then I followed your link to Instapaper - only to realize I’d tried it some months back. However, then I didn’t get it. Tonight, it was precisely the kind of app I am looking for (to use with Safari on my G2 iPod Touch.) So, a journey of discovery that started with Twitter, ran through your blog and took me back to a forgotten app.
Priceless.
