If you think about it, this whole Web 2.0 is like being a kid in a candy store….where you can try everything and not have to pay for anything.
With wave after wave of Web startups being developed and launched, you could beta yourself from day to night. Who cares if many of them are entering market chock-a-block with competition or whether few of them have viable business plans. Many of them are just digital candy that you taste and then quickly on to the next digital treat.
For anyone hungry for a beta fix, this week is the Web 2.0 Super Bowl. With TechCrunch50 (really 52!) and DEMO happening, there are more than 100 publicity-hungry startups with betas – some of them delectable looking and some not-so-much.
Like many beta junkies, going through the TC50 and DEMO line-ups was akin to a TGIF menu with lots of choice.
So what to have, what to try? So much to potentially beta, so little time. Okay, I’d like a smattering of GoPlanit, some iLovePhotos and, for dessert, give me some DropBox. And I’ll definitely have some Montreal-based Akoha as a night-cap.
Say what you will about the controversy about TC50 moving into DEMO’s lucrative backyard but it’s all good for Web 2.0 junkies.

As soon as we push the release out for iLovePhotos I’ll let you know
I’ll also throw a dropbox invite your way
Michael,
That would be great!
Thanks, Mark
Thanks for the post Mark! Now that we’re live, what did you think about GoPlanit? We’d love to hear your feedback.
