		<description>I'm going to extend Adam's idea a bit.

Ask any developer who's had to code for IE6 and you'll see flashes of hatred flicker in their eyes. Part of the reason Firefox has taken off is that people were willing to develop for something that actually (somewhat) complied to standards. Also as you mentioned, the ability to extend Firefox has been a great boost.

Carrying that over to Google - I guess the question remains is "what does Google do bad?" that another search engine might be able to capitalize on.</description>

		<description>I think that Firefox took off partly because people wanted to move away from IE, and Microsoft is seen as the "big bully" by a lot of people.  Google is still "hip and cool" and is great at what they do, so there really isn't a market for an underdog competitor yet.  IMO, of course.</description>
