With Yahoo unveiling a major round of job cuts, one of the more interesting developments has been how some employees are publicly broadcasting their departures.
Susan Mernit, for example, blogged about her departure as head of Yahoo’s Yahoo Personals, while Ryan Kuder provided a play-by-play on Twitter about his departure.
It’s the New HR – a contrast to when getting fired was one of those things that people were reluctant to talk about publicly.
Update: Meanwhile, a top Yahoo executive, Bradley Horowitz, has left for Google. This kind of movement could be sign of things to come.
