Time Magazine’s Strange Top-10 List

Take a look at Time Magazine’s top-10 list for the best Web sites for 2007. I’m not sure about the selection criteria but it includes many sites that are, at best, head-scratchers, including Lemonade.com, AskSunday.com, Wink.com and MenuPages.com.

It’s like someone decided it would be neat to stand out from the end-of-year crowd by picking obscure sites while ignoring Facebook, YouTube, et al.

At least, Time had the smart to name the iPhone as its #1 gadget of the year.

This is what happens when you can just pay to get on a list like this.

Wink is a joke, they are on their 4th business model. (each completely different from the other)

    Mark,

I think Jevon may be right…

Or perhaps… they just wandered around the office asking random people to name the coolest site they could think of off the top of their head. That may explain it…

    Cheers,
    Aidan

Good job, Samsung, for getting the P2 on the list. Hopefully you can actually get some in stores… see my tale of woe on trying to find one here:
