The Day the Music Died

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

AllofMP3.com, the rogue Russian music downloading service, has been shut down by the Russian government. The decision by the Russian government is linked to Russia’s efforts to get into the World Trade Organization. AllofMP3 was a thorn in the side of the music industry by selling albums for about $2 based on the contention that Russia’s copyright rules made it legal.

While AllofMP3 may have driven the music industry crazy, it was a great way to discover music.
