This isn&#039;t the same deal. Business.com, as we now know it, is an actual business with a revenue model. The site earned approximately $15 million in profits last year (according to TechCrunch). 

In other words, you&#039;re not paying $300-400 million for just the domain name; whereas, the $7.5 million paid in 1999 was basically only paid for the property. These are two different situations.
