Aha!
Wireless number portability…. Game On
It’s one of two things, but hopefully both…
#1. Rogers has been talking FOR MONTHS now about unveiling a higher tiered internet service with speeds up to 18Mbps but after talking to a tech I heard it could be up to 25Mbps. But on the downside, I heard it will cost significantly more than the current $55 for Extreme.
#2. Officially announce 3G for the Rogers network, but at a speed unheard of from any other NA carrier (although that will be hard because Sprint just announed 9.xMbps over their EV-DO network yesterday). And hopefully they will begin offering unlimited data!
-Sadly, neither of these are a North American first, but for some reason Rogers sees Canada as North America and if it’s first to Canada, it’s enough for them.
