What's interesting is that although the useful lifespan of a PC is getting shorter and shorter, good ol' RevCan still makes us depreciate them over 5 years....

Last week, Treehugger reported that Nokia has developed a prototype cellphone that can be disassembled into its component parts in two seconds. Seems like a step in the right direction in reducing the costs of recycling electronics.

Agree, there should be a better way. However with shrinking margins on hardware where can the their next buck from? Wait a minute, didn't IBM dump Lenovo - there in it self is a big sign. Sure Dell and the boys have tried to add on software to make up for lost revenues, but with more and more software going web based or FREE (or 2.0) there isn't much in the left. So what's next - just ask Dell and their "customer service is our speciality" ways of pissing off bloggers.
